How to offer Local Financing Services thru your own bank.

First of all, ask yourself: When was the last time your local banking institution did anything special, out of the ordinary for you? Do you or do you not put into their hands every day, money (daily deposits) where they are making more money daily from your deposits?

I have been asked by many of you, how do you approach your own local bank to do the “outside financing” for our patients?

Here’s how:

1. Call and set up a meeting with the Manager of the Loan Department, sharing with them that you have something that might interest them in obtaining new customers for their department, ARE THEY INTERESTED IN NEW CUSTOMERS?

2. Gather the following items to take to your meeting:

a) Your current loan applications from Care Credit, DFP, Capital One or whomever you are currently using in regards to “outside financing” companies. Take all of them if you are using more than one company.

b) Your interest fees that you are being charged by these companies as you will want your local banking institution to “beat” these rates, not just match them.

c) You are seeking a “NON-RECOURSE” loan for your patients, interest free up to at least 24 months if possible, otherwise, ask for 6 mo, 12mo, 18mo.

REMEMBER: YOU are their customer and there are other banking institutions that would love to have your business as well. DO NOT TAKE “SORRY CAN’T DO THIS” as an answer. This has been proven over and over again across the country by other offices that your local banks will do this for you if you just ASK!
